Satellite, topo, streets. The terrain rules.

Four layers designed for off-road: high-resolution satellite, topographic with contour lines, streets, and trails. Switch between them with a tap depending on what you need to see — where the river is, where the trail is, where the technical curve is.

TRAILS CALLES TOPO SATÉLITE
How it works

Three taps to have the right layer under the puck.

Layer switching is instant. The app automatically caches what you see so it's available offline later.
1

Open the selector

A tap on the layers icon (corner of the map). The switcher shows the 4 available options with a preview of how each one looks.

2

Choose based on terrain

Satellite to see real vegetation and rivers. Topo to understand elevation and slope. Streets for urban segments. Trails for marked paths.

3

They stay cached

Each layer you open is automatically saved for that area. You can switch between layers even if you lose signal — everything you've seen stays local.

What's included

Four layers, two extra modes, one UI.

Night mode

Dark palette optimized to avoid glare during night rides or cabin sections. Can be activated manually or automatically by hour.

Who uses it

Each discipline asks for its preferred layer.

Expediciones 4×4

Mountain Hiking

Topo is the star layer. You read slope, identify peaks, choose the least demanding path. Then you confirm with satellite if there's dense forest.

Frequently asked questions

What riders ask about layers.

How many layers are available?
Four main ones: high-resolution satellite, topographic with contour lines, streets, and trails. Plus two derived modes: hybrid (combines two layers with adjustable opacity) and night mode (dark palette optimized to avoid glare).
Do the layers work offline?
Yes. Everything you saw while connected is cached locally. When you return to an area you've navigated before, the layer loads without a network. For fully pre-downloaded regions (offline pack), coverage is complete within the marked area.
Which layer is better, satellite or topo?
It depends on what you need. Satellite shows you what's really there (vegetation, water, structures). Topo shows you how the terrain is at height (slope, peaks, valleys). For serious off-road, you want both: plan with topo, confirm with satellite. The hybrid mode lets you see both at the same time.
Can I combine two layers?
Yes, with the hybrid mode. You choose a base layer and an overlay layer with adjustable opacity from 0 to 100%. The most useful combo is satellite + topo: you see the real vegetation with the contour lines on top, all in one view.
Does switching layers consume a lot of battery?
The switch itself is instant and doesn't consume extra. What does consume is the initial loading of new tiles when a layer isn't cached yet. If you plan with wifi at home and download the layers you'll use, in the mountains the consumption is minimal.
Are the layers updated?
Server data is refreshed periodically. When you regain connection, the app offers to update the cached regions to have the most recent tiles. The decision to update or not is yours — if the region is still valid, it's not necessary.
