The UTV GPS app your co-pilot navigates

In a UTV, you drive and your co-pilot navigates. Mount your phone on the roll cage or the dash, and while one of you keeps both hands on the wheel, the other reads the map, drops waypoints and coordinates the rest of the convoy. Triaka helps you hold your heading even where your phone loses signal.

How it works

The map rides in the co-pilot's seat

Three steps to split the driving and the navigation before you hit the trail.
1

Plan and download before you head out

Build your route in the planner—web or mobile—and download offline maps of the trail system. That way your map is ready even when the trail takes you into stretches with no coverage.

2

Mount the phone where you both can see it

Secure the phone on the roll cage or the dash, where your co-pilot can reach it without you taking your hands off the wheel. With a good mount, the screen stays readable through the motion and the dust.

3

Roll out in a convoy and record the ride

Your co-pilot follows the group live and drops waypoints on the move, while Triaka records your track, speed and elevation gain to review later.

What's included

The UTV GPS, from the roll cage to the screen

Offline maps of the entire trail system

Download by region, in high resolution and with no cap. The map stays with you in canyons, dense forest or any stretch with no signal. (Premium)

Live groups for the convoy

See every group member on the map in real time. Your co-pilot notices who's fallen behind before the group spreads out too far on wide trails.

Group chat with location

Text, photo and location synced with the map. Your co-pilot flags a detour or sends the exact spot of a stop without getting out of the UTV.

Cached waypoints

Mark hazards, crossings, fuel or shelters. They stay saved and visible even without signal, so your co-pilot can drop them on the move.

Multi-layer maps with one tap

High-resolution satellite, topographic with contour lines, streets and trails. Your co-pilot switches layers as they read the terrain.

Route recording

GPS track, speed, altitude and distance. It's saved locally and syncs when signal returns, so you can compare rides and share your route.

Two seats, two jobs

You drive, your co-pilot navigates

A UTV has something a motorcycle or a quad doesn't: a second seat. That seat is your navigator. While you keep both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the terrain, your co-pilot holds the phone, reads the map, drops waypoints and keeps the convoy on screen.

Triaka is built for that split. Your co-pilot switches layers, drops a hazard point or sends a location to the group chat in a couple of taps, without you having to take your eyes off the trail. Start free, and Triaka Pro adds unlimited offline maps with a 7-day trial.

Who it's for

Built for the side-by-side cockpit

The driver-and-co-pilot duo

Two people splitting the day: one drives, the other navigates. The co-pilot stops wrestling with screenshots and handles the map, the waypoints and the group from their seat.

Clubs that ride in convoy

Outings with several vehicles across wide trail systems. With live groups, every crew locates the rest on the map, and chat keeps everyone on the same route.

The one breaking in new trails

You arrive at a trail system you don't know, import the official GPX track and follow it layer by layer. Record your ride to repeat it or share it with the club.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from UTV drivers and co-pilots

Can my co-pilot navigate while I drive?
Yes, that's exactly the idea. With the phone mounted on the roll cage or the dash, your co-pilot reads the map, switches layers, marks waypoints and follows the convoy while you keep your hands on the wheel. It's the most comfortable way to use Triaka in a side-by-side.
Where's the best place to mount the phone in a UTV?
On the roll cage or the dash, in view of the co-pilot and without blocking your line of sight. A firm mount helps keep the screen readable through the motion. Triaka runs on your own phone, so you don't need any extra hardware beyond the mount.
Do vibration and dust affect the GPS?
Your position is calculated from satellites (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo), so trail vibration and dust don't affect the signal. What does help is a good mount so the phone stays put and the screen reads well. Dust is a matter of wiping the screen, not a GPS problem.
Does it work without signal on trail sections with no coverage?
Yes. In canyons, dense forest or any stretch of the trail system where the UTV loses coverage, the GPS keeps locating you because it works off satellites, not the cell network. With offline maps (Premium) downloaded ahead of time, the map and the waypoints your co-pilot dropped stay in view all day, and the recording syncs when you get signal back.
How do I locate the whole convoy on the map?
With live groups you see every group member in real time, and group chat shares text, photo and location synced with the map. It helps you know who's up ahead and who's fallen behind on wide trails, so you can regroup when needed.
Can I import the GPX track of a trail system?
Yes. You import an external GPX and it becomes a navigable route inside Triaka, and you can also export your own recorded routes. It's handy when you arrive at a new trail system and want to follow the track from the co-pilot's seat.
